In The Beginning

Have you seen these tracts? A webcomic pointed them out, so I figured I should take a good look.

Now, I know the Bible says that the earth was created in six days, but am I really suppose to take that literally? No where in the Bible does God name just how long a day is to Him. It is totally possible that six days to God is equal to 6 million years.

Further, there are two creation stories in the Bible, which one is true? The one that is discussed is the one where Eve is created out of Adam's rib, but the one before that states, "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Genesis 1:26-27

So which is it, the rib or God created men and women in His image? And, what did God mean by "Let us make man... in our likeness" Who were these other people to whom God was referring?

And, while we're on the subject of Eve, I don't buy that Eve ate the apple first. Afterall, men wrote the Bible, were they really going to say Adam ate the apple?

Plus, according to this track, Eve wanted to be God, so that's why she talked Adam into eating the apple. And, launched 6000 years of female oppression.

Blessings!
